Advantages: Sondheim music, wit and talent! Disadvantages: Complex storyline?
A huge musical theatre fan I HAD to review this DVD. Original Story written by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim (also a great book), this is really about what happens AFTER 'Happily Ever After'... Filmed at Broadways Martin Beck Theatre.....
Simply the storyline consists of the family favourite fairy tales such as Jack & The Beanstalk, and Cinderalla, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, then blends in a story of a baker and his wife who long for a child.
The Witch who pops into each story is played by the simply wonderful Bernadette Peters, The Prince Charming by Robert Westernberg..
In the first act, the characters set out to achieve their goal of living "Happily Ever After" through familiar routes - Cinderella goes to the Ball and captures the heart of Prince Charming, Jack climbs the Beanstalk and finds a land of Giants ...
Advantages: The controls are great Disadvantages: Graphics are fairly average
Plus costs around £16, but you can actually buy it packaged with this new Tiger Woods game for £46.
Swing Like a Pro!
In the past, doing anything like an authentic golf swing on a Tiger Woods game would result in a horrible hook or slice, which became incredibly frustrating when watching your ball soar into a bunker or a pond nine out of ten times - the addition of MotionPlus means that now you can take your real swing and use it in the game - and believe me, it works. The result is that Tiger Woods '10 is the best and most authentic representation of golf to date, and can be played by anyone from the complete novice to the seasoned pro.
In fact Tiger Woods '10 has included a whole sub-game called 'Disk Golf' to show off the capabilities of MotionPlus. This mode gives you a chance to chuck around a frisbee on any of the courses ...
Advantages: Extremely erotic, but you might get some meaning out of it Disadvantages: Extremely erotic (yes, again), very violent, disgusting for some
practicing his ultimate passion. For me, this is a real book and the added footnotes written by Sade himself make the book even richer and more meaningful. If you are tempted to read this book and don't mind the subject matter, it would be helpful to read Justine at first because it is less extreme than Juliette and much shorter, so reading it will introduce you to Sade's style and allow you to make important comparisons between the two.
<<< Reading Experience >>>
The book is huge; it is 1205 pages long, 5.5 cm thick, and divided into six parts only, but there are certain spaces on some pages to stop reading when it is safe to do so. Moreover, the pages are somewhat thin and the font is small; not to say that reading it is difficult, but to give you an idea of how long the book is, so reading it requires some determination and patience ...
