Stuart liddell has to be one of the best pipers in the world today. Stuart plays with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, which has won two world titles, he has performed with the band in concerts at the Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House, both of which have been placed on the CD. He is a phenomenal player and a great guy, and i had the pleasure of meeting him. The CD has won several awards in the piping scene as well as best "Solo Piping CD 2007" (Pipes and Drums Magazine).
Very little pipers in the world has the accuracy, and the musicality of Stuart, and this comes through brilliantly on 'Inveroran'."

A little break down of the tracks;

The Centenary Jewel - A nice set of 2/4 marches to break into the cd and to start to realize how good this man really is.

Inspector Donald Campbell Of Ness - A nice set of competition jigs, here you can get a mix of the perfect finger work along with his great taste of music.

Mairi Bhan Og - A relaxing set of Celtic Airs and Hornpipes

The Dundee City Police Pipe Band - He plays these 6/8 marches right down to a tee.

The Lament For The Dead - Here Stuart plays this Piobaireachd, with immense ability and the technicality is unbelievable.

Susan MacLeod - One of the most famous strathspeys ever played followed by a few trad reels.

A Mhoire Mhin-Gheal - Some more Gaelic airs and reels in which he sends shivers up your spine.

The Abercairney Highlanders - A competiton MSR, well he has one plenty of medals with this set so what more is there to say.

Troy's Wedding - A nice waltz followed by abit more upbeat jigs which get the feet tapping.

Murdo's Wedding - Well the traditional 4/4 marches still have to be respected and he plays them to near perfection.

The Blue Cloud - This difficult tune is played by Stuart that he makes it seem easy. A great way to finish of a great cd.

There is a hidden track in this cd, in which you hear why bagpipes sometime be given a bad name.

You can get this album in most pipe band stores for around £10.
