It's no lie to say that Michael Jackson's latest album "Invincible" has been very long awaited. But now that we can finally stop sniffing the bouquet and actually drink, what is the album really like? Well the first impression I get is that the album gets off to a good strong start, with tracks like "Unbreakable", "Invincible" and "You rock my world" but the album ultimately seems to lose steam part of the way through. It then slips into a few boring and easily forgettable tracks until we get to "Cry" (and many people who bought the album may want to do just that). "You rock my world", on first hearing sounds like a good but slightly average R&B track but almost immediately grows on you and after hearing it for the 12th time, it goes from being ok to mysteriously brilliant and wonderful. "Cry" (which was also released as a single) isn't bad but seems a little predictable and takes a while to really build momentum. The album is certainly a long way off from being Michael's best work but doesn't fail to have a couple of tracks to please most listeners. His change from the old "pop" style to the more R&B feel is probably a wise move, to adapt to the changing tastes of the younger, fired up generation. In conclusion, Invincible certainly isn't anything to hype up but if you're an avid Michael Jackson fan, then it's worth buying. Personally I regret paying 16 quid for it.

P.s I got it on special at Music Zone Fat Cats sales, for £3 - so's that show how good album is I guess!

I have posted all my reviews on dooyoo, under the name of "Gendu". It is not copied from someone else - just copied onto my account on both sites. You can check this with each of my reviews under the name "Vspawn" here and the name "Gendu" on dooyoo.

Proxam has just told me you write under a different name over at Dooyoo. It might be worth putting a note in your profile to that effect, so as not to cause any confusion on the site. Cheers. Sara x
