Advantages: Relaxing story telling music with a bit of heart Disadvantages: Too boring
OK album, with a nice mix of different artist most of which i have never hear of before. As you can probably tell I'm not usually into this kind of music but being someone always looking to expand my musical horizons, I thought i would give it a go but was not too impressed.
Most of the songs featured were not too impressive, many of which sounded very boring and generic for the genre.
Track 15, Green Fields of France - Furey & Davey Arthur was probably one of the most impressive tracks on the album; this song featured delicately sung lyrics and an impressive story which i think is based on world war 2. Some of the other tracks were almost up to this standard but were too boring and didn't catch my attention. ...
Advantages: none for me Disadvantages: no really well known songs
, in fact I would much rather listen to Under the Sea as for me at least it is a better song overall. Following this is Catch a Wave another Beach Boys style offering with the vocal harmonies and beat, yet again this offers nothing that for me makes this worth listening to, the best part of this is the intro as it features a section of dialogue from the movie.
Octopus Garden the next track sounds again like something familiar but I cant quite put my finger on it and to be honest has made me wonder if this is a collection of better known favourites that Disney has bought rights to and then had artists do covers of for this compliation if thats the case then Disney you have no doubt ruined a set of very good songs with this CD, certainly the final track Under the Sea has been covered many times but I have never heard it done in a way that has ...
Advantages: Some good remixes and the price Disadvantages: Not many, some fillers but i suppose you get that with every album
This cd is an absolue bargain. I would highly recommend purchasing this as Bad Boy and Puff Daddy are well known for producing good remixes and the series of albums was a very good idea, another money spinning venture but one for the fans who had remixes on b sides of cd singles and recorded off the radio!
Special Delivery - G Dep, Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray & Craig Mack. Quite a repetitive tune but a cult favourite. More likely to hear it in the clubs
I Need A Girl Part 2 - Ginuwine, Mario Winans, P Diddy & Loon. Video and single released off the back of the successful part 1. Some say they prefer this version, i actual do and its one of the best tracks on the album
Bad Boy For Life - P Diddy, Busta Rhymes & MOP. A shouty version of the original. Not bad but too much going on lyrically for me, my ears couldnt take it
