Advantages: Brilliant tracks written from the heart. Disadvantages: Not everyone likes him, he swears on a couple of tracks
...interpretation of them. 1. Irish Son - Second single released from this album. It didn't go in at number one but I think if I remember rightly it made top 5. It’s about his take on growing up in Ireland and his view on the Catholic Church. It got a lot of bad reviews because of this but I quite like the song. Quite catchy. 4/5
2. Real To Me - First single released and went straight in at number one. The only song written about his time in ... ...in it. 4/5
3. Demons - This is quite a dramatic track. I love the gentle piano and fragile vocal. The song is about nightmares. He's dreaming about seeing his family but they don't recognise him. I like this song because it’s not what I would expect from Brian. 4/5
4. Lose Lose Situation - I like this track, very upbeat and you can't help but tap along. This track has some swear words in which aren't good when my friends little girl sings ...

Advantages: Easily available and contains 4 hit singles Disadvantages: Too many songs in a similar genre and some swearing
...of rock/pop tracks.
1. IRISH SON
This is a catchy, if controversial pop/rock song. It is my personal favourite. Brian denounces Catholic homophobia in the first few lines and then sings in the chorus about how he has his "own mind". He's questioning many aspects of the Catholic religion. It didn't exactly make him popular with the religion or in Ireland, but that sort of reaction is exactly the sort of thing he is complaining about.
2. REAL TO ... ...places, particularly on the thrilling Irish Son. The album has certainly been a success. It's the next one people will have to watch out for.
My only real complaint with this album is that they all sound quite similar in terms of genre - too many guitars and rock. A range of styles might have been better. I would suggest borrowing this before deciding to invest in a copy for yourself. ...

Advantages: A real treat for anyone who would like a good album! Disadvantages: You might cry if you're a softy like me!
...been for him. Irish Son which is in the charts at the moment is a fab hit, talking about the Catholic upbringing Brian experienced. Very addictive as the words are easy to learn and you cant help but jig along to it as you drive to work!
The rest of the Album is filled with songs that we can all relate to in some way, including songs about alcoholism, nightmares, love lives, insomnia. There’s a mixture of rock and ballad songs – both of which Brian’s ... ...some strong thoughts and comments about the 6th song on the Album ‘Sorry Love Daddy’. This song is a very ‘heart string pulling’ slow song that he has written for his two daughters about his split with their Mum, Kerry. Also, track 8, ‘Be True to Your Woman’ I have interpreted to be Brian discussing his highly publicized ‘run in’ with a lap dancer and how it has affected his life and love. Men should take note from this song – always be honest!!!!

Advantages: Great voice, amazing lyrics Disadvantages: Might be put off by the fact that he was in Westlife
...favourite song on here is Irish Son, a rebellious take on religion and growing up in Ireland. It is catchy and the lyrics are fantastic, 'We brushed off the accusations, bowed before your lies'. A close second comes Real To Be purely because it is darker and once again, has great lyrics. I love the guitar in this and I think this is one of the rockier sounds of the album.
Lose Lose Situation is one for the guys, 'You can never win with women, it's ... ...cheap now.
