Advantages: everything from music, vocals, lyrics, preformance Disadvantages: not one
So what are you doing when you hear deranged fucked up (excuse the language) lyrics mixed in with electronic sounds/music, vocals that sound terrifying but give you some sort of warmth and hope however also as if your in some sort of gory horror film, ahh yes that's right your listening to Skinny Puppy.
I find out about this band whilst watching the film "the doom generation" (great film by the way) apparently some members of skinny puppy had a minor role in it. When I herd they were industrial that was when I decided to check them out because I'm a huge fan of industrial music. For those of you that don't know what industrial music is let me run you though it:
INDSUTRIAL MUSIC:
Without going into a total essay, long story short, an industrial band normally is a band made up of the usual guitar, bass and drums but normally also ...
Advantages: Gavin Lee Disadvantages: Uninspired music and lyrics
Pastiche, the imitation of a literary or musical style for (generally) comic purposes, can be a wonderful thing. The songs of Tom Lehrer and the musical The Boyfriend spring to mind as great examples. Unfortunately, not all pastiche is good pastiche, and 'A Saint She Ain't' certainly ain't good pastiche. Written in a style reminiscent of film musicals of the 1940s and accompanied by piano (possibly two pianos, judging from the sound of the overture), the show features thirteen different songs which echo the list songs, novelty numbers and lovestruck duets remembered fondly from so many Hollywood singalongs. But it's not much fun, when it comes down to it.
Music is by Denis King, lyrics by Dick Vosburgh and the cast of eight features Barry Cryer and Gavin Lee (who went on to create the stage version of Bert in Mary Poppins ...
Advantages: Lasts ages. Disadvantages: Too expensive.
I am 23 and have suffered with hideous dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember! I have tried numerous lotions and potions to get rid of or conceal them and a friend recommended Touch Eclat a few years ago.
This product in legendary alongside the likes of Elizabeth Ardens 8 hour cream and has been around for many years. However, in my opinion this product doesn't deserve it's legendary status. You are paying for the pretty gold packaging and the brand name. I believe that the darker shade (II) is too dark and the lighter shade (I) is far too light! This product gives you the opposite effect of panda eyes! It gives you glaring white circles around your eyes! Because of its light reflecting properties when someone takes a photo of you all you see is these stupid white circles.... grrrr! You cpould say it does the job ...

Album Notes
Personnel includes: Tom Paxton (vocals, acoustic guitar); Ken Whitely (various instruments, background vocals); Chris Whitely (pedal steel guitar, harmonica); Rodrigo Chavez (pipes); Kathryn Moses (saxophone); Dennie Pendrith (bass); Bucky Berger (drums); Colleen Peterson (background vocals). 1991's IT AIN'T EASY is an uncommonly serious album by the master of satirical folk songs. Since his early '60s surfacing on the Greenwich Village folk scene, Paxton has had one of the sharpest wits in folk music, skewering the serious, the dangerous, and the pretentious in cutting, often hilarious songs. Although these 13 songs are most definitely protest music, they're not satire. Throughout the album, Paxton treats the hot-button topics of his songs with complete earnestness. From "Something Going On" and its frank depiction of oblivious parents and a crack-addicted teen to discussions of homelessness, suicide, and environmental decay, Paxton doesn't mince words, but thankfully he also largely avoids shallow sloganeering, preferring instead to sketch a scene, make his point, and move on. The album's more personal tracks, like the lilting love song "Second Nature" and the character study "I Was Beautiful," are arguably more effective, and do much toward lightening the overall mood of the album.
