It Takes One To Know One - Detective

Advantages: Catchy tunes with some great lyrics
Disadvantages: Sound can get tedious after a few listen's

...The Pigeon Detectives have been waiting to unleash this album on the globe, and rightly so. 'Wait For Me', released on label Dance To The Radio, clearly puts the five-piece on the map as more than just friends of the Kaiser Chiefs. Bubbly guitars, northern sung vocals, and an album full of indie pop, The Pigeon Detectives could have one of 2007's success stories under their belt. Track one, the single that enhanced their fanbase ten fold, sounds awesome. 'Romantic Type' is captivating, mixing paces throughout and of course we must mention the sort after "1! 2! 3! 4!", which comes before a rocking guitar solo. This starts an underlying theme of love through the record. The transition to track two 'I Found Out' was clever. Advantages: The music is different and enjoyable

...The Pigeon Detectives are new and unpopular. But they are soon to take the world by storm with their amazing music. There are a few diamonds such as the songs 'Romantic Type' and 'You Know I Love You' which reflect the average young person's lifestyles. The lyrics deal with issues that apply to all the listeners, and the Pigeon Detectives have a unique and memorable name. The band can not be compared to any other, as they do not sound like any other band. The guitar riffs are catchy and the songs are fun to learn and sing along to. I know that I would love to go to a Pigeon Detectives gig. This band genre is probably Indie or NuRave, and they are probably going to be hot property in future. Jump on the band wagon now!... Advantages: Best album since sliced bread
Disadvantages: There is none!

...Amazing album well worth the price produced in their hometown of Leeds on the 28th May 2007. When i first heard The Pigeon Detectives i loved them straight away. The pidgeon detectives have been renound for there talents by such dj's as Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley. There quirky songs and distinctive sound is just immense. The album cover is very well designed and defaintly fits in with the album. I would reccomend this album to any Indie music lovers. I back this band all the way and i hope they will produce more faboulous songs like the ones on here. This alum is a remarkable album for such a new coming band who have only started out in 2002.. Listen to them, buy them, you wont be dissapointed i assure you.... Read review
