It Was Written, is definitely an excellent mixtape. It has alot of cuts that aren't on his debut and a few that are on the special releases of the Album. It also has two tracks from the artist Gemini off of his First and Fifteenth record label.
"What it Do" is a display of Lupe's lyrical prowess as he weaves a connection between how the media connects and is an interesting commentary on the conglomerates that run the music industry.
Other standouts include "Ghetto Story" which is a commentary on life in the inner-cities of America, ending with the line "I hope you learn more than/ how to be whores and how to move a ball."
The tape is solid from start to finish.
