First, let me just say that I am surprised I am the first to review this product. I expected more to have wished to express their views on the Canadian Crooner, but I guess I am wrong. Here goes:
Michael Buble (apologies for the missing accent at the end of his name) is a man who loves music. In the same mold as Jamie Cullum, he performs covers of classic standards as well as writing and releasing his own music. And he is very good at it, too. Of Canadian birth, Buble has followed performers such as Frank Sinatra for many years. His music reflects this while imposing his own mark and passion on his albums.
'It's Time' is Buble's 2005 album. It contains a feast of 13 classic tracks, including his hit release 'Home' which he wrote himself and is not a cover. There is also a duet with Nelly Furtado, 'Quando, Quando' and a track featuring Chris Bott, 'Song For You'.

If I were to have any criticism of Buble, it would be that there are many covers/versions of tracks on here, as opposed to originals penned by the artist himself, but that is what he does: he does versions of hits. His hit song, 'Home', track 5, is amazing, and I wish he would write more. Lately, he has been doing so and his latest album, 'Call Me Irresponsible', features two of his own tracks, which are equally as brilliant as 'Home'.
The clever thing is that his versions are just that: they are not straight covers. 'Feeling Good', while staying true to the lyrics, gives the listener a bit of difference to Tracy Chapman's powerful tune, and the same can be said of the equally powerful 'Try A Little Tenderness'. I'll admit, there are a couple of tracks on the album I am not too fond of, and I do feel this album is not as complete as it possibly could be, and thus it is rated at 4 stars as opposed to 5, but this does not take away from the quality of the music.
To conclude, I love this album, and happily listen to on a regular basis. My wife and I recently saw him in concert, and he is a great performer. You feel the passion in his music, on disc and on stage. One to have in your collection.
