Review of Original Gangsters, The (Let's Go To Work/2CD Set) - Various Artists by LADYFUCHSIA

Advantages: Variety
Disadvantages: Couple not so great tracks

...From The Godfather to Get Carter, tales of organized crime have produced some of the greatest films and most memorable movie moments. From James Cagney style 1930s mobsters to the hitmen of Quentin Tarantino and John Woo. This album has style and will have you dancing round your house like a madman about to hack off an ear... The rise of the popular gangster film genre began in the early 1930s to reflect the real history and rise of gangsterism in American society, many of the movies made were modeled on newspaper and real-life situations. Some of the most talented actors have had leading roles in these movies; Pacino, De Niro and Brando to name a few. I bought this CD for the super cool basslines, as a compilation album, it gives an overview of this style of playing, so I can then pick my fave artists to really get to know... Read review

The sounds of the TARDIS
Review of Doctor Who (Original Music From Series One & Two) - Various Artists by Amy69

Advantages: Loads of tracks, great for emotions!
Disadvantages: Not much songs with words

.... The Daleks 26. The Cybermen 27. Doomsday 28. The Impossible Planet 29. Sycorax Encounter 30. Love Dont Roam (neil hannon) 31. Doctor Who Theme album version Now, thats a lot of tracks to listen to, and it would take you over 75 minutes straight to get through them all! ***** Some of these songs are upbeat and lively, such as Song For Ten, and Finding Jackie. Whereas, some are very soft and emotional, like Roses Theme and Doomsday. Not slotted into either of these two categories are the songs that put speeding, adventurous images in your head, like The Daleks and Tooth And Claw! Dont laugh at this! When I am needing to express some negative emotion, I play the slow songs (in particular Doomsday) as loud as I can and do a bit of yoga. The sorrow and passion in the tracks really help to release loads of emotion when you need to! ***** The cover... Read review

Worth Buying
Review of Westwood (The Jump Off) - Various Artists by Hyamzy

Advantages: A quality mixture of artists
Disadvantages: some crappy artists

...this is a good for money cd with all the lastest artists and singals this is well worth while. this mix of artists let you put on whatever you like. this album is parental advisory and does include foul language but never the less it is still very exciting and thrilling. the songs on this album are the artists latests/best releases most of them have been in the charts and won awards. this album is well worth its price it is a double disk cd and it contains about 20 tracks on each disk. over all this is a great cd and i would advise anyone who is in to rap and hip hop to buy this album. it also might get you interested in a new artist you might not of heard before....
