Album Notes: Burning Spear: Winston Rodney (vocals, percussion); Lenford Richards (guitar, piano, keyboards); Linvall Jarrett (guitar); Mark Wilson (saxophone); James Smith (trumpet); Charles Dickey (trombone); Jay Noel (keyboards); Paul Beckford (bass); Nelson Miller (drums). Additional personnel: Dean Fraser (saxophone); Chico Chin (trumpet); Nambo Robinson (trombone); Robby Lyn (piano, synthesizer); Richard Johnson (piano). Recorded at Grove Studio, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Burning Spear (a.k.a. Winston Rodney) spent most of the '80s bouncing between labels after establishing himself thanks to a string of legendary '70s albums released on Mango Records. The early '90s found Spear back with Mango and 1991's JAH KINGDOM was the last album he released on this Island Records offshoot before returning to indie label Heartbeat. Staying consistent to his long-standing devotion to spreading his faith, Spear filled KINGDOM with words of praise for both Jah and Rastafari ("Praise Him," "Call on Jah") as well as pride in his roots ("Land of My Birth"). Guest musicians include legendary Jamaican instrumentalist Dean Fraser, and the rest of the collective plays with a lighter touch than what was normally heard on Spear's previous albums. This approach enabled Spear to put more of a steel-drum flavored, Caribbean spin on "Come, Come" and also redo the Grateful Dead's "Estimated Prophet," originally done for a Dead tribute album.
Advantages: It's just brilliant Disadvantages: it's too short
...Being a BurningSpear fan, since 1987, when i saw them perform an London's Astoria, the first time i listened to this album, i wasn't disappointed!
Winston Rodney has THE soothest voices that I've ever heard. Maybe it's just in accord with my personal wavelength, or maybe some of you have experienced the same side effects, but when i listen to this guy, I'm completely hypnotised. Amazing. No need to smoke one, it's natural vibrations!
For me the BurningSpear reference album is <Marcus Gavey>, with this one just behind, in second position. The lyrics are great, the music is really well orchestrated with a huge range of different instruments, and with BurningsSpears' wonderful voice, it's like paradise on earth for my ears.
Here are the tracks on this album :
1. Trust
2.We feel it
3.HaHa
4.Not guilty
5.Rock and Roll

Advantages: Maybe The Sexiest Album Disadvantages: Some Older Fans May Be Shocked
...Britney Spears has already sold millions of records worldwide with her previous releases. Her Career started with her American sweetheart image and slowly she is growing up into a sexy woman. Her Music style has also changed over the years from straight pop to a more R’n’B feel. In the Zone shows a complete different side to Britney Spears and I guarantee that this album will shock and surprise.
I bought this record after she released Me Against the Music and Toxic and i easily gave into temptation after hearing these catchy tunes. Initially I was shocked on how good some of the tracks were on the record, some were even better than the infamous Me Against the Music and the outrageous Toxic. Her next single is called every time which is the only Ballard on the album and is a extremely good song and personally my favourite.

Advantages: hmmmmm. Easy to write a parodie about... Disadvantages: Britney Spears
...One of the most useless singles by Britney Spears. One time: okay. Two times to hear: strong personalities or deff people can cope with it, but to buy the CD, oh god don't do it. Born to make you happy. How does she dare to call her song like that. This is crap, as well as the rest of the complete bitchney spears shit. Her baby voice is annoying me all the time, as well as her idiot text and her behaviour telling us : "Look how pretty I am." I don't understand why she is that popular. She is born to make people feel crappy. Does tha componist write that ugly, I don't think so. This song is probably not meant for Britney Spears. I'd advise Britney to get a job or something, but stop this shit. The world is already bad enough. Just gimme good stuff. That could make me happy. And this is not only MY opinion....
