Advantages: The songwriting. Just listen to the band evolve.
Disadvantages: Combines tracks from four very different sounding albums

Love and Money released four studio records between 1988 and their demise in 1994. The white-boy funk of their first two outings 'All You Need Is...' and 'Strange Kind of Love' gave way to more subtle acoustic textures on latter albums 'Dogs In The Traffic' and the underappreciated 'littledeath'. Vocalist/guitarist James Grant's songwriting craft and musicianship reached a peak as the band were on a commercial slide and the final two albums, although ...
...is so varied in sound that it's difficult to imagine a 'Best Of...' which doesn't sound disjointed. This compilation begins with the trio 'Halleluiah Man', 'Winter', and 'River of People', all from different records and all minor hits (top 50 but not top 40 in the UK).
