The album, released in 2002 is still riding high in the jazz charts, and the only track I had heard prior to buying this album was 'Don't know why' which is certainly in the jazz style of ballads, and she has a jazzy voice to match. Let her be the girl in your room (on your stereo!)

Advantages: Beautiful voice, good melodies
Disadvantages: Slighty down-beat

...The title track, The Girl in the Other Room written with Elvis Costello is a lovely piano melody, with Krall's voice sounding quite mysterious. Temptation is a cover of a Tom Waits song (one of my hero's) and I must say it is a decent version. Husky but sensual. I'm Pulling Through is a stunner of a track if you're into lyrics. It is just such a touching song; if you've been through anything tough in your life the lyrics/song will take on its own ...
