I rate this guitarist very highly. I had the pleasure of watching him at a Concert in London some years ago. It was around the time he was about to release the extremist. Anyway this guitar ... ...songs. My favourite is when Joe Satriani teamed up with Eric Johnson and Steve Vai in G3 Live. What guitar work.
His latest CD Engines of Creation has a track
"Until We Say Goodbye" which has been nominated for a Grammy
in the "Best Rock Instrumental Performance" category (category #19).I hope it does well for Joe. Full track listing.

He does some really weird sounds (not sure how), he seems to be tapping the frets. His albums collections are very varied ranging from Blues, rock and love songs. Some of the tracks seem to include techno beat which may put off some of the core rock fans but I think this is actually played by musicians and not computer generated. I like Borg Sex ... this really is a cool track. Overall this CD is not his best but worth a listen.
Overall I think Joe is a wizard at the guitar and should be up there with the guitar heroes.
Advantages: Super Guitar Music Disadvantages: ????
........ Have you heard of Joe Satriani ?? He is by no means the best Guitaris in the world. I recently saw him at the London - Shepherds Bush Academy and he wa fantiastic. Did you know that he gave guitar lesson to Steve Vai and the lead guitarist out of Metallica ???? it's true. Ever played F1 97. A couple of his songs are featured on there. The best song by far is Summer Song and Time. The best Album is Crystle Planet. In the concert I saw Brian ...

... ...A real show that joe can taylor his talents to a wide vartity of styles, here creating a good rock track with good harmony, in unison with the melody played. This track has light sections so dont be put off thinking its metal... its not.
7. One Big Rush ( Album = Flying in a blue dream ) A classic, starts with a drum fill then launches straight in at the deep end of the action with a pacey rhythm section which really lays the foundation to the rest ...

Advantages: Enjoyable album Disadvantages: Only one ballad
Once you get over the weird name (although when ads on myspace started to appear for Chickenfoot, it did its job and got everyonetalking!), this is a great band loaded with lots of talent.
Band Members
JoeSatriani (a guitar legend)
Chad Smith (more famously know for playing the drum with the Chilli Pepper, )
Michael Anthony (Van Halen bassist)
Sammy Hagar (probably better know as one of the singers in Van Halen)
Overview
There?s only one ballad, Learning to Fall, which is amazing the other 10 tracks are heavier.
Album tracks:

Advantages: Superb guitar music Disadvantages: Not all in English !!!
I was bought this album as a brithday present. I am into guitar music like JoeSatriani, King on Guitarist !!! I had heard a couple of his new songs in the UK charts and was keep to listen to it. WOW, great guitaring !!! The album is a mix of languages. The album also features artists like Eric Clapton and Eagle Eye Cherry !!!. My best track is Turn Your Lights On. The music combines the sheer brilliance of Santana with a new sound of the millenium. It is by far the best album he has created and that is shown by the 9 gramy's he won for creating it. I would reccommend this to all who enjoys good mellow guitar music. Thanks, Matt ...
Advantages: very feasible for the collection Disadvantages: not joe's best guitar sound
This is the first album by the guitar virtuoso JoeSatriani, released in 1986, contains 10 tracks of instrumental rock?and I will try to review it
1. Not of this earth ? 3:55 - This song begins with a standard drum beat, with a relatively wet snare drum sound (reverb),the progression of its cord is not too dynamic, and can be spelled out very monoton, it seen that joe is trying to show the aspect of guitar improvising to a particular style (maybe mixolydian, lydian), that in the end, its become the embryo of his trademark..
2. The snake ? 4:40 ? Slap bass technique and its electro kind of sound become the characteristic of this song, the overall composition of this track does not complex, there are also some funk style guitar fill in (now days maybe identical to john frusciante from RHCP), there are also metal guitar riff in the middle ...
