Advantages: best new band nme Disadvantages: some slow tracks
...Johnny, johnny, johnny what and unbelievabe album for his new debut, best new band of last year at the nme's and after a couple of listens you can see why. This fast flammed album is definitely a grower the more and more you listen, the more the artistic developtment is shown. Best songs on the album girl with the golden touch, rip it up, and personal favourite somewhere else. Worst song to the sea seems pointless. Nice indie rock sound, johnny's voice very mesmorizing. Good live entertainers. Target audience is any age, not to heavy not to soft, reaches a good equilibrieum. Which way out is clearly written from experience, which is nice to see in the lyrics. Brilliant album from some cool fun guys. Give it a listen...

Advantages: Brillitant songs throughout the album Disadvantages: All songs will be unfamiliar to a new listener

Advantages: He is Johnny Cash Disadvantages: I am not Johnny Cash

“Spiritual” deals with Mr Cash’s more spiritual side and the opening line of “Jesus I don’t wanna die alone” sends shivers up my spine. Johnny like me transcended the need for all that organised church nonsense that so many people need to express their spirituality, and once again this song is just beautiful and uplifting, thanks for that one Johnny.
“The Kneeling Drunkards Plea”, written by his wife and sisters in law is a prayed by a drunkard looking for forgiveness, only in country music do you get songs like this and I love it. “Southern Accents” is as Johnny said is a better anthem for the south than “Dixie”, and even though I don’t come from...
