If you only have room for on U2 album in your CD collection, it has to be The Joshua Tree. This album, released in 1987, is quite simply outstanding. Every track is a classic, and you know you're in for a treat from the opening bars of "Where the Streets have no Name". This album features their best work, with tracks such as "With or Without You" and "I still Haven;t Found What I'm Looking For". The test of a great album is its longevity. The Joshua tree is now 13, and seems every bit as fresh in 2000 as it did in 1987. The Joshua Tree is U2 at their peak - stadium filling rock with every track. It's well produced, well written and even Bono's vocals sound polished! You must buy this album, so that when in 20 years time U2 are as embarrasing as The Stones are now, you can remember them at their peak.
