Body of Lies is a 2008 film, directed by Ridley Scott and staring Leonardo DeCaprio and Russel Crowe. It is a spy movie and centres around a CIA agent who goes on the hunt of a high ranking terrorist. It's definitely a good but not one that I would say you can really enjoy, I think rather, it teaches you about the atrocities of war and brings them to the forefront of modern civilisation and tries to show you the real face of war.
DiCaprio is the CIA agent who travels to Jordan and other places in the middle East. He is undercover and is always flying from one country to another to stay one step ahead of developments. I think Leo was very good in this movie. I would like his performance to that in Blood Diamond which I also though was very good. In a way, he plays a similar character, a person who is very good at adapting to his place ...
Advantages: A clever film Disadvantages: Not as funny as I'd hoped, lack of chemistry, weird product placement?
NOTE: This is a film only review.
After missing Ricky Gervais' first major film, Ghost Town, I decided straightaway when I saw the trailer for this film that I would not miss his second - The Invention of Lying.
Plot
The basic premise of the film is, according to most things I read prior to seeing it, about an alternative world where the concept of lying does not exist. Everyone tells the truth. All the time.

The film follows Mark Bellison, described from the outset as one of life's losers, who suddenly discovers the ability to lie, something which ultimately turns his life ...
Advantages: Great voice and lyrics Disadvantages: Not a great deal of variety, though I'm sure that will come
Hand Built By Robots is Newton Faulkner's debut album. He smashed onto the commercial music scene in 2007 with his hit Dream Catch Me, and the album was just as successful. He is one of a breed of singer songwriters we have seen emerge over the past five years or so inculding James Blunt, James Morrison and Paolo Nutini that seem to have the edge when it comes to writing music.
If you've heard Faulkner's music, then you'll know he is a balladier, with his husky and powerful voice and his loing ginger dreadlocks making him instantly recognisable. The album doesn;t have a lot of variety about it, I have to say, but that does not mean that he is a one-trick pony. Faulkner's music is high in quality. The predominant sounds on the album are his guitar and voice, but the backing music lends itself well to the music, and it is obviously ...
