Hang on dont pass by just because it is Daniel O'Donnell.
If I tell you my Adult children even asked me what am I playing instead of their normal comment of "oh Mum turn that off and have some decent music on" and didnt tell me to turn it off you will have guessed that this is one of the better Deniel O'Dolnnell cds in fact I think it is his best.
It is called the Jukebox Years and says it is 20 miore Blue Jeans Classics but I must admit that I remember different singing artist singing most of the records and you will probably remember a more modern singer singing them as most are now coming around again as my family knew most of them as I do..
This is my first CD review so I hope you will bear with me and be kind. In brackets is the artist I remember singing it. just thought you might want to know!
1. Hello Mary Lou (Buddy Holly) 2. Oh Boy (Buddy Holly) 3. Do you Wanna dance (beach boys) 4. All shook up (Elvis) 5. Three steps to heaven (Eddie Cochran 6. When 7. Girl of my best friend (Elvis) 8. Come on over to my place (Drifters) 9. When you walk in the room (Searchers) 10. Daydream believer (Monkeys) 11. Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond) 12. Wonderful tonight (Eric Clapton) 13. Walk right back (The Everleys) 14 Beautiful Sunday (Daniel Boon) 15 Ob-la-di ob-la-da (Beatles) 16 Is this the way to Amarillo (Tony Christie) 17 Knock three times 18 I'm a believer (Monkeys) 19 Lets Dance (Chris Montez) 20 That'll be the day (David Essex) and they have a bonus track Living next door to Alice - this version says like the original "Where the heck is Alice".
I like all the music on here and cant honestly say that the original is better than Daniel O'Donnell singing it as he hasnt really changed any of them which I find nice.
Must admit that after all these years I can still remember who sang the original or another version of it!!!
I must admit I bought this because it was on sale for £3 only but it is well worth buying especially if you love 60s music.
Thank you for still being with me and for reading this to the end x
