...The Twice as Nice boys have done it again, residents for the sunday night event at the End have produced the latest compilation of live, mixed Uk garage and R'n'B. Cd one capture the essence of all that is good with the uk scene at present, some of the R'n B cuts are cool (such as Shola Ama's Imagine) as are mixes by the Artful Dodger of the Lynden David Hall tune. Coupled with this, Spoony has successfully put some decent heavy baseline stuff, such as track 2 -stand and deliver, a particular favourite of mine, and 'Celebrate Life'. Cd 2 contains fairly mainstream R'n B cuts, skillfully put together for the listener by Sutherland. A good purchase.... Read review

...Both "Past Masters" albums were issued in 1988 as addenda to the 13 CDs comprising the Beatles back catalogue up to and including "Let It Be". They contained the remaining A- and B-sides of singles not already included, and other assorted rarities. In the case of Volume 1, these were the four tracks from the 1964 "Long Tall Sally" EP which had remained unissued in any other format, namely a Lennon-McCartney song "I Call Your Name" which was originally written for Billy J Kramer, and three rock'n'rroll covers, German language versions of "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand", another rock'n'roll cover "Bad Boy", only previously released on a US album and on the shortlived UK compilation "Beatles Oldies" in 1966. Add those to B-sides like "This Boy", "She's a Woman" and "I'm Down", and track-by-track annotations by Beatles... Read review
