Street light manifesto are a "3rd wave" ska band from East Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. The band consists of Mike Brown - Baritone Sax, Mike Soprano - Trombone, Jim Conti - Tenor Sax,
Delano Bonner - Trumpet, Chris Thatcher - Drums, Tomas Kalnoky - Guitar, Vocals, Chris Pazsik - Bass. The band isn't a mainstream success but they really deserve to be. I found out about the band from Last FM.com, so when I was out I spotted them in the Punk/Metal section in HMV and got the album for £9.99 I think (when will shops have a dedicated Ska section :s )
If you are a fan of bands like Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jack or Catch 22 (if you know Catch 22 you will recognize some of the names) then this really is a good band for you.

The tracks on the album are:-

1) Dear Sergio
2) Sick and Sad
3) Keasbey Nights
4) Day In, Day Out
5) Walk Away
6) Give Up, Give In
7) On & On & On
8) Riding the Forth Wave
9) This One Goes Out To...
10) Supernothing
11) 9mm and Three Piece Suit
12) Kristina She Don't Know I Exist
13) As The Footsteps Die Out Forever
14) 1234 1234

As you can see you don't get short changed on the number of skanktastic songs. The album starts off with the Super up beat and high tempo of Dear Sergio then keeps on kicking out the beats with Sick and Sad, a nice fast Ska broken heart song. The rest of the album ranges from very fast Ska Punk and crazy shouting noisy starts (Day in, Day out) to slow then fast song like Supernothing.

Streetlight aren't armatures in their genre (most members coming from successful Ska bands) and they could just about out play any ska band going right now in my humble opinion. I really recommend that anyone that likes Ska or Punk or even people that want to get a good hard taste of Ska I recommend this album whole heartedly! They got me Skanking around the room like a total loon they were that good!
