Advantages: Mdeiocre sound Disadvantages: Better with Jane's
Before i say anything i must stress Dave is a brillant guitarist but, & it is a big but.
After searching for months to get this album "Deconstruction" i was so dissapointed.
After Dave left JanesAddiction he worked with Eric Avery ( also from Janesaddiction)& Michael Murphy (drummer who alternated with Roy Mayorga).
Deconstruction then became a large advertising hoarding for Dave's career. Soon after completing this project, he joined, and became an established member of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. His guitar playing is famous for such tracks as Aeroplane and Warped.
Before he had Success with the Chilli Peppers, he record the Album Deconstruction, with 2 ex Band members from JanesAddiction.
Dave is not the only contributor to this album.
Helping Mr. Navarro on the disc is:
producer: Rich Costey
guitarist: Reeves ...
Advantages: A brilliant piece of acting by Michael Caine Disadvantages: A little slow in the first 15-20 minutes.

The Whistle Blower carries a Parental Guidance (PG) classification.
The genre is Espionage/Drama and the film was first released in 1987. It has a run time of 1 hour 40minutes.
The copy I am reviewing is a single disc edition with a limited special feature selection of Scene Selection and Photo Gallery.
Cast, Director and Producer

The director is Simon Langton and the producers Geoffrey Reeve, Jim Reeve, John Kelleher, Peter Dolman and Philip Nugus .
Soundtrack by John Scott.
The Plot
The Whistle Blower is based on a novel by John Hale, this film is basically a cold war spy story. Frank Jones (Michael Caine) is a war veteran, he served his country ...
Advantages: A really crisp potato chip Disadvantages: none
When I sit and watch television in the evening I like something to munch, the `something` all depends on my mood. There are times when I reach for the biscuit tin, other times when a bar of Cadbury`s will do the trick and times when I feel like something savoury.
There aren't many crisps and potato snacks that I don't like, but Kettle Chips have to be one of my favourite snacks. Maybe they remind me of my childhood, my Mum used to peel and slice some potatoes very thinly and then deep fry them, the result was much like a Kettle chip.
Kettle chips are produced at a factory in Norwich, interestingly enough by a firm called Kettle Foods!
I have always thought of them as an adult snack, let the children enjoy their Monster Munch and their Wotsits and let the adults enjoy the unique taste of the Kettle chips.
A pack of any flavour ...

Album Notes
KETTLE WHISTLE is a collection of previously unreleased Jane's Addiction material along with newly recorded material. Jane's Addiction: Perry Farrell (vocals); Eric Avery (acoustic guitar, bass); Dave Navarro (guitar, bongos); Stephen Perkins (drums). Additional personnel: Maceo Parker (saxophone); Flea (trumpet, bass); Dave Fridmann (keyboards); Kevin Haskins (programming, samples); Christine Cagle (background vocals). Producers: Jane's Addiction, Harry Gregson Williams, Dave Fridmann. Engineers include: Thomas Johnson, Slam Andrews, Dave Fridmann. Recorded between 1986 and 1997. Includes liner notes by Henry Rollins. Jane's Addiction are one of just a handful of bands that can make songs explode into visceral madness. KETTLE WHISTLE draws upon live performances, demos, out-takes, and new tracks to confirm the band's rightful place in the alternative rock pantheon. The live cuts include Perry Farrell's legendary bantering with the crowd while the band pours out some of its most passionate music, including "Three Days," Up The Beach" and "Stop." Much of KETTLE WHISTLE finds Jane's Addiction relapsing into its old hard-core self, with some added electronic effects. The new tracks continue in the Jane's Addiction tradition of tribal drumming and odd time signatures while Farrell's voice and Navarro's guitar beckon us to take a trip with them. Suddenly, the world erupts and electric guitar lava spews forth. Behind it all, Stephen Perkins pounds away at the drums, giving them the percussive force of bolders. KETTLE WHISTLE works as both an introduction to this groundbreaking band and an addition to the canon for hardcore Jane's Addiction fans.
Album Reviews
Rolling Stone (12/25/97, p.168) - "...a visionary bent on art-metal violence and millenial sensuality. The live material...shows that Jane's broke up too soon..." Melody Maker (12/6/97, p.43) - "...What's so suprising is how fresh these songs still sound...shot through with vitality and raw power. Age, it seems, has not dulled them." NME (11/22/97, p.42) - 6 (out of 10) - "...KETTLE WHISTLE remains a fractured reminder of just why Jane's Addiction were so important first time around....A good introduction to the freak show, but not the definitive look."
