...Rephlexions (variousartists) is the next installment of compilation albums on the Rephlex record label. It features another set of tracks by the key players on the label and is equally as good as the first compilation (Braindance (variousartists)) The sounds are spaced out emotional and very original explorations of electronia. The CD kicks off with some mellow keys on which glitchy drum and bass future breaks are laid on top. The second tracks goes straight into a gentle industrial clanking atmosphere where a glimmering machine sits in a castle basement, blue light floods through the window in the middle of the night, the machine gets more energy as the track progresses.All the tracks seem to have concepts behind them waiting to be discovered. Advantages: New album out now! Disadvantages: No Scottish gigs :(
...I love live music and there really isn’t anyone better at it than Hamilton Loomis. I met him 18 months ago at a small gig in Glasgow and was blown away with his performance. I had seen the posters in my usual haunt advertising him and checked out his website for more info. There were a few snippets of his music and liked the sound of him so my partner and I went along know really knowing what to expect.
We had a fab time! He was playing songs from Kickin’ it and All Fired Up. He is jazzy, soulful, rocky and puts in a great performance. He was on top of tables, up the back of the pub and played his guitar with a pool cue!!
Hamilton writes, sings and plays a mean guitar. This is not traditional blues and for the “old School” blues fans, may not be your thing. I go to a blues jam a couple of times a month and like listening to...

After seeing the advert on TV regualary i bought the CD from a leading supermarket, this cost me about £11.99 and this was when it had just come out on the market, which i thought was a fair price for what you get, you get 2 cds, in a very nice decorated case which shows some fancy graphics with a man with headphones on listening to music looking up at the more well known band names on the cd's which are presented in bold capital writing, to give it a loud effect. Each cd includes 20 tracks which are listed below
