Unlike many 'Alternative' Bands, Radiohead have just got more alternative with every Album that they made. Many people think that this new Album is poor, but I have to disagree. There is a very big difference between not understanding an Album on your first listen, and thinking it a bad one.
Sure, I wasn't too impressed with Kid A after the long wait, but after listening to it five or so times, I just didn't want it to end.
The Album tells the story of (suprisingly) 'Kid A', the world's fist cloned person, and starts off with the haunting 'Everything in its right place', showing the imperfection in the cloned baby's perfection, and right through to the Angelic noise that ends the gasping, 'Motion Picture Soundtrack', the music is very intense.
Radiohead do, indeed use some different techniques on this one, but none so much as 'Idioteque', which is just electronic instruments and Thom Yorke, but never has such a simple track seemed so deep.
Remember, that whatever your friends tell you, you this Album was the first to make its Artist no. 1 in both the UK and USA for its Artist. So don't take their word for it - buy it and See for yourself.

Advantages: Brave new experimental direction from the Radiohead lads. Disadvantages: Difficult to get into at first, competely different to OK Computer.
