I don't need to say much here. If you are currently so annoyed by the consistent fuzz on the radio of bands which are carbon copies of the mid-late eighties and are crying yourself to sleep at night shouting "Why, WHY is there no good modern music?!?" and if you think the world is in a desperate state and if you don't like the rose-tinited-goggled version of the world pop music generally perpetuates - then this album is everything you could ever ask for. A stark contrast from the hopefull ending of OK Computer, that solitary triangle 'bing' is now long forgotten in the dark, brooding world Radiohead now show us. The album cover is one of the most suiting I have ever seen. Whereas Donwood's (the band's house artist) previous work has been interesting, but not entirely fitting to the mood of the album, here he hits it on the head as do Radiohead. This album truly is an album - complete and whole and, although it might be difficult to get into, once you make that leap you won't regret it as you feel how much this album is a true classic, compared to the empty tinny things record companies are vommiting out on sunshine nowadays.
