Can't live without music. Rock, Pop, Electronic, Alternative, Independent, etc, as long as it's good! I love reading, sports and photography as well! I'm portuguese, so sorry for my not so perfect English.

The successor of the worldwide applauded "Ok Computer" brought a whole new dimension to Radiohead's career, and to rock music. Whoever was waiting for a replay of the success recipe was mistaken! The way how electronic beats were in "Kid A" mixed along with Thom Yorke's voice and the great guitar solos of the band, was perfect! You can find in this record, perfect music to hear while you're driving you car, while you're walking on the beach or while you're having a pleasant dinner with your friends. But, for those who have their hearing strictly compromised with rock music, this album may sound very weird at beginning. Those, may even never come to like this record.
In my personal opinion, it's Radiohead's best album ever. "Idioteque" is a pure disco music, with the most powerful and disturbing lyrics. "Everything in its right place" "How to disappear completely", "The National Anthem", "Optimistic" and "Motion Picture Soundtrack" are some other immemorial songs. "Everything in its right place" was used as opening song at "Vannila sky", a movie starring Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz!
one of the records of my life. I'll be waiting for a Kid B, C, D, etc...
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
One of the few Radiohead albums i've yet to experience, allthough thsi review was good it needs more personal opinion and much more info. on the individual songs to convince the consumer, will be happy to re-rate.
Advantages: It's almost completely different to every other Radiohead release Disadvantages: It's almost completely different to every other Radiohead release
