It has already been described by the apparently-knowledgable music press as commercial suicide but don't let that put you off. Kid A is a natural progression from OK Computer. It takes a couple of listens but this could become the best thing they've ever done. It is undoubtedly arty-farty but it also shows a band at the height of their powers, once again pushing the envelope of modern music. And if anyone can find a better track this year than Optimistic, I'd like to hear about it. I can even forgive them the pretty naff cover artwork and the lack of lyrics...
