The decision to release no singles from Kid-A seems to hark back to the dinosaurs of rock though it hasn't stopped radio stations falling over themselves to play material from the album. It means the whole body of work will be aired simultaneously as DJ's pick and choose what they want to play. Great coverage that added with the fact you have to buy a whole album and not just a single.... am I being cynical??
Kid-A is dominated by rhythm in all forms sometimes to good effect (Idioteque and the unlikely Optimistic) sometimes coming uncomfortably close to a Pink Floyd sound-scape. Thoms vocals as always make the whole thing sound emotionally fragile finishing up with the beautiful Motion Picture Sound-track.
The style of the album is really experimental. Sometimes it feels as though the songs aren't actually complete, just patterns and textures. It leaves me feeling a little empty, intentionally. Still Radiohead are not renown for being cheerful
Although I'm not disappointed with the album it doesn't measure up to previous releases, yet. Maybe after a few more listens it might.

Advantages: Different to other albums, has a slight aphex twin feel to it. Original and epic.Radiohead albums should not be judged instantly but given a few weeks to appreciate Disadvantages: Might take a little getting used to. A dark album
