Advantages: Great melodies, tight musicianship, heavy breakdowns. Disadvantages: Unoriginal, rather boring and unecessary solos.
As much as I love this album it's difficult for me to say from an objective point-of-view that it's really fantastic. Though their is little wrong with it as far as songs and musicianship go, it has a distinct lack of originality, with a lot of songs and breakdowns sounding right at home on an Unearth or perhaps an As I Lay Dying album, two metalcore stalwarts who have set a bar that Parkway Drive meet, but don't exceed. I've heard ill of the production, though I thing Adam D (Killswitch Engage) has done a fantastic job in making the album sound raw and heavy while at the same time sounding crisp. However, at the end of the day, if you enjoy fast melodic verse riffs, powerful screams/growls from the vocalist and pounding beatdowns, you'll love this album just like I do. I've heard ill of the production, though I thing Adam D (Killswitch Engage) has done a fantastic job in making the album sound raw and heavy while at the same time sounding crisp. The drumming is very impressive, with almost constant double-kicking trills, the guitar work is at most tight, but far from innovative. The vocals are what stand out for me, even if the lyrics let them down a little. The range the vocalist has is fantastic and the amount of power he can gather whilst doing both the highs and the lows is very impressive. Songs to listen out for are 'Gimme a D' and 'Romance is Dead', with other songs on the album disappointing a little, until you get to the beatdown and want to start a moshpit wherever you happen to be listening to it. A definite must for metalcore fans, otherwise i'd leave this one be.
Advantages: not every song sounds the same, the high quality of tracks is worth the money Disadvantages: no bonus tracks at the end of CD
....of amazing guitar riffs, vocals and atmosphere come out of your speakers when listening to this band. they appear to be very diffrent from all the other hardcore style bands that are around at the moment by making thier songs diffrent from the next and splitting thier songs up with diffrent levels of guitar and vocals unlike many other bands from this genre that scream and growl continously through a record. the band create an almost witty sarcastic ... ...the songs like 'cry me a fucking river, B***h' taken from the hard hitting song 'romance is dead' where, from my experience of seeing them live the fans take great pleasure in yelling when they peform the song live, listening to this record doesnt just make you want to jump around in a crowd screaming along to the words it makes you grow a strong respect for this band for how much power and energy they have put across in thier lyrics and the songs. ...

Advantages: riffs, drums, lyrics Disadvantages: maybe a bit too heavy for some people
this is their first mainstream album and boy is it amazing! if your a metal or thrash fan then this album is right up your street. the mixture of awesome riffs, double bass pedals and the odd movie qoute fit together perfectly to make this a huge favourite in my collection. all the songs on the album are perfect but the main ones to listen out for have to be 'romance is dead', 'its hard to speak without a tongue' and 'anasasis'. sounds like:
