King Of Comedy - Victor Borge

Advantages: Humorous addition to the animated comedy selection.
Disadvantages: Animation quality isn't too good.

...As a fan of animated comedy, when King of the Hill first hit our screens back in 1997, I was keen to see how it ranked against the other animations (though only The Simpsons really stood out back then). If you haven't seen the show before, it focuses round the everyday happenings of the Hill family (comprising of father Hank, mother Peggy and only son Bobby) in and around the town of Arlen, Texas. The Hill's are your typical hillbilly family, who have hearts in the right places, but don't exactly pride themselves on their appearances and behaviour. Hank is arguably the main character of the show, and he is regularly seen (even in the opening titles) standing in the street with a can of beer, along with his friends Boomhauer, Bill, and Dale. ...King of Queens is my favorite show on TV, hands down. I usually like comedies like Peep Show, The Inbetweeners, Friends, Will & Grace, Family Guy and Thats 70s Show, and out of all these hits is King of Queens. Let me tell you why. The show King of Queens revolves around an overweight truck driver, Doug Heffernan, and his feisty wife Carrie. Much to Doug's dislike, Carrie's father (played by Ben Stiller's dad) lives in their basement, and tends to interfere with Doug and Carrie's lives a bit too much for their liking. The threesome, what with their countsome family problems, equals loads of laughs for viewers, as we different scenarios such as Doug telling difficult Carrie that he's got to work all weekend so that he can go gambling with his best friend Deacon and Carrie finding out in hilarious ways, or Doug hiding his beloved fatty... ...I am writing this review as a huge fan of King of Queens, and because after watching all complete 9 series. A lot of people wrote off the show after watching a couple of episodes in the first series. Unbeleivably, this was a huge msitake. The King of Queens grew to be an Emmy nominated American sitcom that ran from 1998-2007. The program also won 2 peoples choice awards, and two actors won image awards and an emmy for their performances. "Intro and plot of show" The King of Queens follows the life of Doug and Carrie Heffernan (Kevin James and Leah Remini) who live in Queens with Carrie's father Arthur Spooner (Jerry Stiller) lives in the basement downstairs, after his house burnt down.
