During the course of this review, I shall be looking at King Of Fools which is an album by Delirious.
This particular group is a band whose members are all Christians, but whose lyrics are not always seen as being Christian based. What this means is that when compared with a lot of popular music today, although Delirious are a Chhristian group when compared to many other bands they could all be on a similar level in terms of what their lyrics are all trying to say.
Now I have done a good job of confusing not just myself, I hope to talk through the album now.
The band are as follows:
Martin Smith: guitars; lead vocals.
Stu Garrard (Stu G); guitars; backing vocals.
Jon Thatcher: bass guitars.
Tim Jupp: all things keyboard.
Stew Smith (no relation): drums.
A small number of their songs made it in to the main ...
Advantages: 2 CDs and a DVD plus a 60page souvenir booklet covering 1992 - 2009 Disadvantages: How do you compress 17 remarkable years into a single goodbye album?
been pulled together to become Delirious? a few years later. The same amount of time since we had been part of the Jesus Fellowship Church. I recalled my eldest daughter going to Wembley Arena with a group for Champion of The World (in 1997?) at which Delirious were just one of the participants, and coming back with King of Fools and Live and in the Can. I have seen a 3 disc box set available on Amazon marketplace, but the advertised contents differ from this limited ...
Advantages: Outstanding studio album with loads of sing along instant classics and provocative lyrics Disadvantages: None - an outstanding album
-a-long track, but catchy nonetheless and the choir at the end sounds brilliant.
Best lyric: 'Everything's beautiful with You,
Everything's beautiful, when You invade my life.
And I'm living just to say that 'I love You'.

The song is about the impact that following Jesus has on the individual and the ensuing impact said individual can then have on the world around them.
Best lyric: 'Now is the time for us to shine,
Shine with the face of Christ divine.
No compromise, for all heaven ...
