Advantages: Great dubby sounds Disadvantages: some tracks are a bit weak
BOX OF DUB-Variousartists is a showcase of tracks taken from the new popular Dubstep-future garage genre. This record covers the dubbier side of the scene with names such as 'Skream, Digital mystiks, Scuba, etc) . The tracks are original, with some bordering on strange (Digital Mystikz 'Guilty' is an example). Overall the quality is very high and rather enjoyable. The record kicks off with Digital Mystikz 'I wait' which is a lovely stripped down Dubstep drum workout with minimal synths and subs. skream shines on this record and features on two tracks. The first is 'Sub Island', a detailed drum workout over minimal but heavy sub bass and an even more minimal pad sound which suggests the tropical island feel. Skream's other track is a well known dubby jump up number which has featured on underground radio and is a sure hit. Other tracks ...
Advantages: Good songs from good artists Disadvantages: Not exactly a love album
Unlike an album of just one artist, compliation albums are meant to capture the best songs of artists and put them together under one theme. This double album does it well if you go in for the slow, sensual side of R & B.
The first album kicks of with burn by Usher, a very good first choice. In fact, most of the first album reflects some very good artists like Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child, Justin Timberlake and R. Kelly each singing some of their best tracks. Each of the songs are unique in their own right but successfully do fit together well when listening to it as a full album. My only queries for this would be the ending track of Eamon '**** you right back'... Could be just me but this isn't very romantic :p
The second album is also good containing the infamous fugees 'ready or not', old school Bobby Brown 'two can play ...
Advantages: Near Perfect Box Set Disadvantages: Some Artists refused to give rights
Years overdue, finally the most ground braking fund raising event the world has ever seen has been given what it deserves ? a full DVD release.
This 20th Anniversary four disc collection contains the majority of the concert that took place both at Wembley and Philadelphia in July 1985. The first disc begins with a prequel showing the initial Band Aid ?Feed the World? video and the USA equivalent ?We are the world? video. We are then presented with the opening of the concert at Wembley, and then all the acts are shown chronologically throughout the four discs cutting between both venues finishing with the USA for Africa finale.
It is a truly fantastic boxset that does the event justice, with the best possible sound and video quality despite the footage being 20 years old. There are so many highlights, including the very moving ...

Album Notes
Includes liner notes by Colin Escott. It's astounding to realize how much of the '40s and '50s most vital R&B was recorded for the King label. This comprehensive four-disc box presents what amounts to a guided tour of post-war R&B. Equal parts history lesson and dance party, THE KING R&B BOX SET documents the various phases of R&B, from blues leanings to proto-R&B to doo wop to hardcore blues and funk. Packaged with a booklet containing extensive, informative liner notes, this set is an exhaustive account of a uniquely American art form. Highlights abound, including Wynonie Harris' whimsical "Bloodshot Eyes," Johnny "Guitar" Watson's lascivious blues classic "Gangster of Love" and Hank Ballard's once-scandalous "Work With me Annie" (which inspired the female answer song "Roll With Me Henry"). And if you're interesting in digging up the roots of rock & roll, look no further than the aforementioned Mr. Harris seminal take on "Good Rockin' Tonight."
