Advantages: Really impressive action adventure score, one of the best of 2005 Disadvantages: Some action scenes a little unremarkable
INTRODUCTION
After tackling with the giant undertaking of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and garnering so much critical and popular (as well as Oscar) success, director Peter Jackson had things pretty sweetly in his pocket, allowing him to basically do what ever he wanted. So with the studios more than willing to let Jackson have free reign over what to do next, he went in a completely different direction from the literary fantasy genre to a cinematic icon: King Kong. King Kong is of course one of the most famous movies ever made, involving a big ape being transported to New York from an obscure island as a spectacular new exibition only to escape, wreack havoc on the city, kidnap the pretty female lead, and climb to the top of the Empire State Building only to be fall down with a big thump.
Made in 1933, the film was a huge ...
Advantages: A truly great CD Disadvantages: None whatsoever!
One of my other musical passions is Cajun music. Cajun music is the music of the Cajun people of southern Louisiana. The history of the Cajun people is a tough one. Thrown out of their settlement of Arcadie in Canada (because, as French settlers they declined to swear allegiance to the British Crown) they eventually settled in southern Louisiana. They were a separate people, virtually a race apart, separated by the harsh environment and by their language, a sort of combination of French and some English.
Cajun music is largely played using the fiddle and or the accordion, with accompaniment provided by triangles or similar rhythm instruments. Though some guitar might also be used.
Cajun music is an exceptionally joyous music. It is almost as if they, as a people, are saying: "Well, our ancestors crossed an ocean, they got forced ...
Advantages: Some good remixes and the price Disadvantages: Not many, some fillers but i suppose you get that with every album
This cd is an absolue bargain. I would highly recommend purchasing this as Bad Boy and Puff Daddy are well known for producing good remixes and the series of albums was a very good idea, another money spinning venture but one for the fans who had remixes on b sides of cd singles and recorded off the radio!
Special Delivery - G Dep, Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray & Craig Mack. Quite a repetitive tune but a cult favourite. More likely to hear it in the clubs
I Need A Girl Part 2 - Ginuwine, Mario Winans, P Diddy & Loon. Video and single released off the back of the successful part 1. Some say they prefer this version, i actual do and its one of the best tracks on the album
Bad Boy For Life - P Diddy, Busta Rhymes & MOP. A shouty version of the original. Not bad but too much going on lyrically for me, my ears couldnt take it
I Need ...

Album Notes
Recording information: 1972 - 1977. The question of who invented dub may never be answered, but King Tubby is a serious contender. In the 1970s, as he helped to pioneer, develop, and master the possibilities of the genre, Tubby produced hundreds of records, subsequently resulting in dozens of compilations. Many of these are quite good, and of interest to collectors, but IN FINE STYLE may be the definitive Tubby anthology. The two discs here, each containing 23 tracks, chronologically document the producer's innovations throughout the '70s and feature some of the most evocative music to emerge from Jamaica in that decade. Tubby's dub is noticeably clean, and it is hard to believe that the booming bass, shifting webs of percussion, mountains of effects (phase and echo were among his favorites), and deconstructive, recombinant approach to remixing were all generated on a four-track. Dense, heady, and always groovy, Tubby's work with The Upsetters, the Aggrovators, and the rest of the island's finest is perfectly represented here (the collaborations with Augustus Pablo, featuring Pablo's haunting melodica, are especially noteworthy). In many ways a blueprint for the DJ culture that would gain worldwide prominence in the decades to come, IN FINE STYLE is essential listening.
