Advantages: 15 great tracks from a uk hip hop group Disadvantages: a touch samey (just a touch)
...Blak Twang have done it again! This is the second album I have brought of theirs and I am not disappointed! For a bargain price in my local music store, I was well pleased to find it a great album and well worth the £10.99 I paid.
So for those of you who haven't heard of Blak Twang they are a UK hip hop group who have a sort of reggae influence. They have been around for years but I only heard of them a few years ago when I purchased their other album Kick off (also a great album). The main vocalist for the group is Tony Rotton pretty much appearing in every track with his smooth rap lyrics and bouncy beats.
All 15 tracks on this CD in my opinion are really good, all still having the blak twang sound but each individually have the gritty clever lyrics we expect. The first track 'Rotton Club' is a really bouncy track that needs...

Advantages: another great album for UK hip hop Disadvantages: ummmmmmmmmmm?
...So I'm really into hip hop and it wasn't until recently that I've begun to listen to UK hip hop (support you own). I'd heard a few tracks off this album played at my local club on hip hop night and really liked it. So after finding out that the track I couldn't stop singing (so rotton) was done by this group blak twang I rushed out to buy it.
So for a reasonable price of £10.99 in HMV and 20 listen and the cd player in there I decided to part with my money and stick the cd in the car stereo on my way home.
With every track I wasn't disappointed. With great smooth lyrics and subjects more fitting of living in the uk (gangster rap includes a lot of stuff I totally can't relate to where as this music talks of Tony Blair and UK gun crime)
In my opinion each track is great, bouncy and cleverly put together. Tony Rotton the main...

...Fall and i will catch you - i love this track it seems abit apt for my lifestyle
'she gets in again at 4 am, crawls in to another sleep,'
'anothermoment all alone, she sings in to her radio'
my friends sent me the lyrics to this when i was really down so its special to me for that reason.
11 Sometimes i wonder - is according to the album sleeve acoustic but to be honest it jsut sounds like caught in the moment except the music never really kicks in, yet it showcases his voice beautifully, which im guessing was the point.
In style i suppose id call it R'n'B. All in all this is a fantastic album to listen to as individual tracks but when listened to as a whole is abit dissapointing. But i think Kristian can only get better and i look forward to his future releases....
