Not so much a triumph,,,

Advantages: It's not a bad metal album
Disadvantages: Too many throw-away songs...

they were doing it all as a joke, but then had the feeling that they were actually taking themselves seriously! They have become a parody of themselves, a Spinal Tap with heavier guitars? But what of the 1992 release The Triumph of Steel? The band? Manowar the Kings Of Metal

Advantages: The kings of metal!
Disadvantages: not very PC

was beaten by someone else, but whether or not they have reclaimed it I don't know. Getting back to their albums, Manowar really came of age with the album 'Fighting the World' they even had a chart hit with the single 'Blow your Speakers'. Every song on the album is slick, hard and heavy, some of the subject matter could be considered cheesy I suppose, but if you like films like Conan the Barbarian, you'll love every minute of it. FTW was followed by the monster album 'Kings of Metal', fantastic production coupled with awesome songs made people who laughed at the title think twice after they had heard it. The ballad 'Heart of Steel' is so heartfelt (no pun intended) that the hairs on the back of your neck will be on end from start to finish. Other bands play.. Manowar KILL (with pictures!)

Advantages: They are very very loud

They recorded Into Glory Ride then Hail to England and then it was tour time. They invaded Great Britain, then conquered Europe, recorded Sign of The Hammer and made it into Guinness book of world records. Then it was Fighting The World and Kings of Metal before returning to America. Four years later in 1992 was The Triumph of Steel, then two years for Louder Than Hell.
