Occasionally there is also a hint of Ry Cooder..
Bex has a strong, gritty voice somewhat akin to
Tina Turner, Janis Joplin or Joan Armatrading,
and her songs are equally intelligent and interesting.
She plays all the guitars on this set -
from the deep, Delta drone
of 'Too Much Rock & Roll' to the occasional
hint of heavy psychedelia.
Definitely a name to watch for -
but while you're waiting, do take a listen to this CD."
