Advantages: Lots of excellent consistent hard and soft rock tracks! Disadvantages: There are none if you like weird rock music. If you don't then this is probably not you're type of music

Not as in rap like Eminem etc. I mean a good lot of heavy metal with a good beat; it is like a mixture between rock, punk and metal. They are sort of like Slipknot in a way because of they're random music, and rhythm, ... ...clearer! Overall it is a LOUD, ANGRY, HEAVY METAL album.
This album you can only play on full blast volume, it is not quiet. It has fourteen random tracks and it stays like that the whole way through. Well that's what makes it so good! It has a good rhythm and beat to it for every track. If you like System of a Down, Linkin Park, Nirvana etc, then you will love this. The tracks are sort of similar to each other in a way, someone who had never heard Korn before would think that there is no difference between the them, but someone who had heard them before would easily see a differnce between them.
You may like this a lot because if you were a fan of Korn and you didn't buy it, you would be missing out, and you would really like the rhythm of both CD's. However if you are more of a person that prefers clasical music, then this would definately not be for you!
Overall the box set is well worth buying.

In a similar move to Coal Chamber, Korn return with album that has melodies (Yes that does say melodies) on it and the results are good, beating Coal Chamber?s Chamber Music. Without a doubt it?s Korn?s best album to date, with tracks like Falling Away From Me, Trash, Somebody Someone and Dirty it leaves Korn?s other releases behind. The Hip Hop element that was present on their previous release, Follow The Leader has gone and has been replaced by more complex arrangements of the songs and I prefer it. I liked the Hip Hop thing as well, but I this is better. There are a few things about the album I don?t like. Wake Up is a good verse spoiled by the rest of the song and the white noise that takes the places of the secret track on the normal version of the album is annoying. If you own no Korn albums, start here. ...

Compact Disc (2003) Album
The cover displays an intriguing piece of artwork. The back of a small blonde girl wearing a red dress teeters at the edge of a path jutting off a cliffs edge. The path has markings in white of a hop-scotch game to which she is about to step off the number 9 and off the cliff edge into certain death. She leads a long trail of children to the same fate. This convoy stretches back towards the back of the cd and the same depiction is on the inside of the cd inlay. A reference to the "Pied Piper of Hamlin", probably who led the children away from the parents when they refused to pay him for his enchanting music. (a fairy tale).
The drab and bleak colours of the scene are contrasted with the bright red dress of the little girl. Almost suggestive ...
Advantages: Has some genuinely cool songs; stuff like "Chi" is wicked! Disadvantages: It is not as good as their previous album; has some mediocre moments; a bit gimmicky
seems rather than write a good riff, they've just used a bog standard one and played it fast with scat vocals over the top. There are 14 tracks on this album, and i'd say that most of thenm are pretty good - it's just songs like "lowrider" and "good god" interrupt the sequence of good songs, and some of the songs are fairly throwaway rather than amazing.
I've spent a lot of time listening to this album, and while it doesn't deserve the praise i see being lavished on it, it is a good album and definitely worth a purchase if you are in to korn. However if you want a korn CD, i would reccommend getting "korn", "follow the leader" or even "issues" (as it is more accessible but not superior in my opinion)
All in all this is an OK album from a great band; while it's still Korn, it hasn't progressed much, is not as groundbreaking as the debut ...
