This CD along with a few other bands were responcible for creating the california hardcore metal style in wich influences most hardcore bands today. I would have to say this was a very important CD to the music scene because it was, for most of us metalheads, one of the first things that introduced our favorite sounds and energy in music. Do not get in your mind that I like Korn all around because I think everything after their second album is garbage. This album is the best album korn ever made, it may not be perfect, but I do enjoy and respect it for the new style it brought to the hardcore music scene. I truely believe that Korn will never come out with a CD better than this one. It is a must have and a piece of music history.

Advantages: KoRn are a great band with good lyrics and musical talent. Disadvantages: a couple of the songs sound similar but theres no harm in that as they are still good.

Advantages: This is one of the cds that invented nu-metal. First listen it is "good", from then on it's jaw dropping Disadvantages: It's perhaps less accessible than korn's other albums

Advantages: Lots of excellent consistent hard and soft rock tracks! Disadvantages: There are none if you like weird rock music. If you don't then this is probably not you're type of music
