this labum is thier debut, and is notably, their best. it's the haunting lyrics and the alienating sounds that make this album stand out from other albums. the way in which korn build up their anger and hate and fear and produce cracking songs such as 'blind' and 'ball tongue', though, korn will always be remembered for it's best song, and a rock anthem, 'faget', telling the story of jonathon davis when he was at school. perhaps i like this album because i can relate to it's themes, having experienced many myself, but even still, for those of you who are popular, it gives an inside view of what it is like to be alone, to have nobody, and in that respect, korn have done their jobs. after 'faget' their next most notorious song is 'daddy' which has even more haunting lyrics than any other song they've done. it is truely a classic, which many people are unable to listen to because of it's theme, lyrics, and generally it's psychological effect of the listener. this album truely is a masterpiece and should be on your shelf.
