The first album from the band which bascially invented the genre. Sure, Deftones may have given it more substance, Limp Bizkit may have made it more commercially acceptable but Korn gave us the raw materials. It's loud, heavy and agressive. From Jonathon Davis' warcry of "Are you ready?" you know that if you aren't strapped down, you are in severe danger of causing spontaneous moshpits.
Korn gave us a remedy to the late and somewhat bloated Seattle scene and the album has aged well, "Blind" being akin to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in its ability to always get a crowd moving. Yes, Korn may be getting old now, their sound copied and repackaged, but this is as fresh, vibrant and hate-filled as anything before or after.

Advantages: Their best album in my opinion, really heavy and flows together. Disadvantages: May be hard to get into first time, but that is probably the point of the album

Review of Korn - Korn
Advantages: KoRn are a great band with good lyrics and musical talent. Disadvantages: a couple of the songs sound similar but theres no harm in that as they are still good.

Advantages: Lots of excellent consistent hard and soft rock tracks! Disadvantages: There are none if you like weird rock music. If you don't then this is probably not you're type of music
