...While the years may have changed the subjects which ache LintonKwesiJohnson haven't.
Neither has Linton, thankfully.
Inspired by the poetry of the Bible - the only book in his grandmother's house in Jamaica, whom he had lived with until moving to Brixton at the age of 11 to be with his mother -, Linton decided at an early age to be a writer.
The tense political climate of the time naturally guided a proud and enthusiastic boy to his subject of choice.
For over 30yrs Linton has been writing and performing powerful poetry, taking it to all corners of the globe by distribution or in person.

Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
...A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents...

Advantages: Some good dance tracks across genres Disadvantages: Not as good as some of their other compilations
...preferred the beat behind it to the vocals (as opposed to the reverse on Rock Tha House) although the chorus was catchier. Falling Star by Starchaser featuring Steve Edwards had a reggae beat, I quite liked it, but am still waiting for the outstanding track of the disc….Erick Morillo, Harry Romero & Jose Nunez featuring Jessica Eve's track Dancin' was not what I was looking for, nor was DJ Flex's Amazin'. The intriguingly named Pussy Dub Foundation could possible have made their track Make the World Go Round better by adding a more interesting beat or not having a woman talk all over it. Sunset Freakz' Back to the Island would go down well late at night in Ibiza, doesn't have an annoying woman talking over it and a better beat. House Music Baby from Heavy Rotation was another good club tune, but I can only think that they have to grow on me...
