~~The Group~~

LSG is an Rnb group formed by Gerald LeVert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill. The group name LSG was form from the three guy's last names which is LeVert, Sweat and Gill. Gerald LeVert-Son of the O'Jay's Eddie LeVert - As a voice smooth and thick as molasses, Keith Sweat - Not the world's greatest vocalist, but his nasal, whiny voice made him the most commercially successful of the three artists and Johnny Gill - High -energy, husky voice, which make the group perfectly balance. The three joined forces and created an album that didn't stray far outside of any of their comfort zones. They sustained successful careers in urban R&B but never really became a super star. They were never washout either; they stuck around for years, continually racking up hits without drawing attention to them.

~~The Album~~

The album LSG2 is a very romantic album with pure tender
slow jams, the three powerful vocalists singing is
uniformly solid. The album was collaborate six years
after their first album it didn't really hit the top
chart but that does not mean it isn't a good album. The
Album consists of eleven tracts as listed below.

1. Just friends (Featuring Loon) - 4/5

Levert.Sweat.Gill gets back up by bad boy records upcoming star Loon on the track. This is to me RnB at its peak a smooth beat with a nice bass sound in the back. The four artists' back up's each other nicely on the track. What more to say then it's a nice track.

2. Wide open - 3/5

Wide open is a very smooth track, a track to just kick back relax and chill to. The track as some influence of raping by Jimmy Austine in the end, plus some nice chorus in the background by a female singer called Sherena Wynn.

3. Shake down - 4/5

This is another smooth track with a mellow tempo. Shake it down all the way down goes the verse. If I remember correctly the track contains a sample from LSG hit "My Body", which was one of their biggest hit on their first called LSG.

4. Fa free - 5/5

LSG keeps it mellow and smooth. The lyrics on the track is about his love is for free. Overall a nice track.

5. Yesterday - 5/5

I love this track and if you think that the previous track was mellow wow you should check this track out with LeVert, it gave the album a needed substance.

6. Play with fire - 3/5

The sound on this track is more funk inspired and the tempo is a bit faster than previous tracks. The track is named after the old cliché if you play with fire you going to get burned.

7. What about me - 4/5

This is a nice track in my liking. The lyrics are deep and meaningful not your average I love you love my lyrics. What happens with everything after a break up, the downs of love.

8. All I know - 3/5

LSG kicks it off with another smooth track to lounge to another one that you can kick back and relax to.

9. Lessons to be learned - 3/5

The beat on this track is a bit different not that slow as previous tracks and I got admit it that I like it.

10. Can't get over you. - 3/5

Not a bad track but a bit to average LSG for me.

11. Cry and make love - 3/5

This track is really smooth and kind of my liking .The song title says it all the track is about cry and making love.

~~Verdict~~

I can't say that I was disappointed on this album because it's was pretty good. All the entire three solo artist's collaboration works really well and melts in as a group not only as three solo superstars. In other words, they're R&B journeymen -- you can always rely on them to deliver the goods.
