Advantages: Beautifully-written and translated Disadvantages: Gruesome, some flaws in the plot
Introduction
I've had a couple of bad experiences with books badly translated from the original language recently, but I'm glad I didn't let it put me off, because this book was well worth the read. Patrick McKeown, the translator, has done a superb job of converting a beautifully written book into English. The author, Luca diFulvio, has been likened to Thomas Harris, the author of the Hannibal Lecter novels, and there are definitely some comparisons to be made; also with Henning Mankell. Anyone who enjoys thrillers rather than the traditional cozy type of crime fiction will enjoy this book.
The author
Luca diFulvio is based in Rome. He writes both thrillers and, strangely, fairytales for children. The Mannequin Man was shortlisted for the European Crime Writing Prize and has been made into a film called Eyes of Crystal. It was ...
Advantages: Two perfect leads terrific sound and a beautiful orchestra Disadvantages: none
This recording relights a passion for Puccini, and Italian opera in general, that I have not felt since I was much younger and heard the Callas/de Sabata Tosca for the first time. Like that recording, this recording is the definitive benchmark recording for this opera. Tebaldi and Del Monaco are in their element - one of the great 20th Century couples in full flight; Tebaldi's tone is rounder and more brilliant than any other Minnie while creating a superbly rounded character and Del Monaco is remarkably convincing. The sound here is very ...

Neither would Debenhams display posters of it everywhere either.
I also bought my 50ml of Acqua Di Gio because of the positive reviews from word of mouth and from the Internet. I bought mine from Superdrug.
Anyway... Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men comes in a simple ...
