Album Notes: A scant nine months after his debut for EMI Classics, 'Onwards', topped the classical charts, Lancashire-born tenor and crossover phenomenon Boe delivers this third opus, on which he tackles a set of vintage Neapolitan folk. Whilst not classical music per se, many of these tunes (including the classics 'Caruso', 'O Sole Mio' and 'Torna A Surriento') have become part of the repertoire and have been recorded by a lineage of great artists whose ranks Boe now looks set to join.
Advantages: Its the most summery album of the year yet! Disadvantages: People will be funny about it cos she was a Spice Girl!
...… angel, its your turn to fly". This is a very touching song filled with vocal emotion. I've not heard Melanie Brown sound better.
It all goes very Spice Girls camp quickly with the salsa and samba of 'Music Of The Night (Perdido)'. Its almost a nod to Emma Bunton's 'Crickets Sing For Ana Maria' and Geri's 'Passion' and 'Spice Up Your Life' all in one barmy ditty. Very summery, very camp, very specific taste.
'If I Had My Time Again' is very retrospective of her life. Would you change any thing in life? Do you have regrets… these questions are all covered "if you had your life again, would you change a thing?" its nice. It's not as raw as 'Beautiful Girl' but its another pretty piano ballad.
Pop, pop, pop with sweeping violins and strings from 'In Too Deep'. "In too deep, I'm yours to keep, just let me in, I'll stay a while, maybe you...

Advantages: A few really good tracks, some De La Soul tunes you have never heard before Disadvantages: The album has no flow, a few weak remixes

Advantages: Great music Disadvantages: Not as good as being there
..."Passion" is two CD's full of dance music but this time taking a slightly less commercial route than "The best garage anthems" which was released at the same time, being a mix album featuring the MYNC Project on the Redroom disc and JFK on the Blueroom. The club Passion is based in Leicestershire and has been running for over five years featuring top DJ's like JFK and Tony De Vit as well as being nominated for the Muzik Magazine's Club of the Year award and these two CDs convey some of the atmosphere with tracks from Spiller, Embargo and Delerium mixed in with less well known but equally good songs. Not quite as progressive as the last Renaisence CD from Dave Seaman but more good time groove orientated which makes for an enjoyable thirty plus tracks....
