A mad love album by Robi rosa.

Advantages: Greats to listen to when in a romantic moods!
Disadvantages: Don't listens to it if you just been dump!

...Robi Rosa, Robi Rosa. Now that name does sound familer. Ah yes! He the guy behind the massive hits of 1999 with some latin guy name Ricky Martin and 'livin la vida loca'. Wheather or not if you are a fan of the 'loca' crazy of 1999 you cannot escape and help notice the pure talents behind that song. And yes Robi Rosa was the guy! He now quit writing with his old mate to record for his own albums. Mad love i believes to be 3 years in the making and this is a pure albums of love ballard and heartfelt rock songs written from the heart. This album is dedicated to his wife 'Angela'. The First track of the albums is 'dancing in the rains'. Now i leave it to your imagination to where he going with this song but It a smooth jazzy songs that you would put on after you puts the kids to bed. The emotions and feeling he puts in this songs can... Read review

Review of Surfer Rosa - Pixies by  andystrong

Advantages: Best album by a brilliant band
Disadvantages: One or two vocal growls and barks too many

...perspective. I would describe Surfer Rosa as being one of the most important late 80s releases in my record collection. Whenever I dust it off and put it on it never fails to surprise me with its feral power and its oddness. The Pixies biggest gift to 90s guitar music – the clever deployment of huge distorted guitars behind choruses; which Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam all absorbed – is best showcased on Surfer Rosa. The band recorded the fourteen-track album with Steve Albini producing, or recording, as he prefers it to be known. Albini, for anyone not familiar with his production work, is best known for helping Nirvana on In Utero and for working with other cult alternative acts, such as PJ Harvey and The Wedding Present. The La's - The La's
Review of La's, The [Remastered] - La's (The) by  Scouse_Dave

Advantages: Five bonus tracks added to the brilliant 12.
Disadvantages: A scandolous price of just £4 from HMV!

...The remastered version came to the British shores in January 2001. The original version appeared in November 1990. What an album it was and still is, full of classic pop songs just waiting to be discovered by millions of people. Son Of A Gun - Sounds like it was written and recorded in one day. Some album openers sound like they are the last song a band records, this sounds like the first thing they did. It is a clever pop song by Mavers and it gets your foot tapping and your head nodding. 8/10. I Can't Sleep - Timeless Melody - This one will have you singing along straight away. There are lots of obvious rhymes - "If you look in your mind, do you know what you will find?" - but it works, it really does. Great, great song. 8.5/10. Liberty Ship - A very neat bass riff and an acoustic guitar go through all the verses... Read review
