Lady Sings The Blues premiered to an eager, anticipating audience in October 1972. The public flocked in droves to the cinemas to see this much-hyped film, whilst critics watched intensley and eagerly sharpened their pencils. Soul singer and Motown legend, Diana Ross controversially took the role of the tortured Jazz legend, Billie Holiday and deservedly won wide critical acclaim for her harrowing and riviting performance in the film which subsequently gained her an oscar nomination (though Diana sadly lost out to Liza Minnelli for Cabaret - people claimed this was down to Berry Gordy's over-kill campaign to get her to win where Berry sent various extravagent gifts to members of the comittee which was merely perceived as a ploy to get her to win). This Won't Give You the Blues

Advantages: Decent entertainment
Disadvantages: Non-fans of the show will just think they've ruined the songs

from buying "The Simpsons Sing the Blues" when I saw it on sale in Asda for £3, as I figured that the amount of entertainment it would provide would outweigh the number of duff notes they would hit. The album opens with "Do The Bartman" which was a number 1 single way back in 1991, well before "The Simpsons" had become as popular in the UK as it is now. It's certainly a very dated song now, being the kind of pop-dance-rap hybrid that was so popular at the time. The song was supposedly written by Michael Jackson and there are a couple of "Thriller" sounding moments and Michael Jackson references which suggest the man has a better sense of humour and more of a tendency to poke fun at himself than I would previously have credited him with. Brilliant Holiday At Lady's Mile Touring Park!

Advantages: Clean Practical and good Location
Disadvantages: Showers and toilets CLEAN.... but dated.

I went on my first ever camping holiday with my girlfriend at Lady's Mile and we had a brilliant time. It all went well we only had a minor leak in our tent which was our only problem with the whole week. Anyways, back to the park perfect location to get around and visit a lot of different seaside resorts and attractions. This was the main reason we picked the park and were a little apprehensive about lady's mile with a couple of bad reviews and some very good one. We arrived at 11 am in the morning and found the receptionist very friendly and helpful, we were given wristbands and an informational booklet and then told to find a pitch and enjoy your stay. Now I?ve been to a few caravan parks as a kid and I have never been asked to find a pitch, but there?s plenty, all different sizes and all close to the toilets and the showers ...
