Advantages: The Perfect hiphop album Disadvantages: None at all.
...Kanye West is back, bigger and better than ever.
"Late Registration" is the second album from hiphop saviour Kanye. The 2004 smash "College Dropout" was always going to be a hard act to follow. He burst onto the scene in 2004; banging out hit after hit from "Through The Wire" to "Workout Plan". But anyone who knows hiphop will know that Kanye is a lot more than just another rapper. He's one hell of a producer. He has the magic touch, producing songs for the likes of The Game's "Dream", Alicia Keys "You Don't Know My Name" and Jay Z's "Encore". That's only the tip of the iceberg. Kanye West is the hottest producer of the moment. Anyone who's anyone wants Kanye on their album.
He's come a long way from his humble beginnings in Chicago. He started out producing at Rocafella (Jay Z's and Damon Dash's label). They doubted his rapping...

Advantages: EXcellent lyrically and orginality Disadvantages: None
...Kanye west regardless of his attitiude and behaviour outside of the industry is a hip hop genius, his arrogance maybe a deterrent for some people to not buy the album but personal opinions should be dropped as his musical brilliance is and has been confirmed and Late registration is no exception. With a large number of tracks you get value for money and most are quality tunes not just a mass in quantity recommended tracks are:Touch the sky(feat Lupe fiasco), goldigga, sierra leone(remix & normal) and roses(excellent), tracks are also spaced with humerous skits which I personally find funny however others may find as "filler" and would rather get to listening to the content of the album.Kanye west fans will certainly not be dissappointed and others will love it also recommend Kanye's new mixtape Can't tell me nothing which features...

Advantages: Makes you realise just how cool Blues can be Disadvantages: The sound quality though not bad might put some people used to 'polish' off
...I always forget just how much I like Blues until I start listening to it again, though it can be hard to find it really pure and passionate these days. I have a couple of other Buddy Guy albums; one early on, his recordings for Chess Records, where he was a session player and though his desire to do so, was never allowed to cut loose (a mistake the head, Marshall Chess, recognised late on in the sixties when the likes of Hendrix, Clapton et al were crashing to stardom). The other, Damn Right I Got The Blues, from the nineties never quite cuts it. So what a pleasure it was to stumble upon Live At The Checkerboard Lounge.
Live At The Checkerboard Lounge is not quite a purist album but it's pretty close. Buddy Guy was approached by JSP Records, then with virtually no catalogue to produce a live album, as Guy at the time could...
