Shakira is a very beautiful and talented young woman. At first you may think she looks like any other pop star but when you hear her deep vocals, you can't help but be in awe. Originally from abroad, she brought out the smash hit single 'whenever wherever' in the UK that made even the most boring of people toe tap. Catchy and latin american in format, this album with its estranged title has proved to be amazing. My track by track rating is below:
1. Objection (Tango): Great opening song. I really like the way Shakira has used the real tango beat and played with the tune so as to make it her own. The lyrics are unbeleivable and quite true to a woman who wants to be admired for efforts over others 'I love u 4 free and i'm not ur mother'. The twist of it being it takes two to tango, not 3!
2. Underneath Your Clothes: One of Shakira's softer numbers. I enjoy singing this to my man. The simplicity of an honest spouce comes out and it is one of those songs where you feel lucky to have someone. 'Being such a good girl' too makes us trust Shakera's relationship advice.
3. Whenever, Wherever: The coolest!!!! Such a great one for the dance floor. I think this song can be requested at any time and not feel old. The song's panpipes remind me of being abroad and yet able to savour the flavour of a love yearned for.
4. Rules: I like this one as it lays down Shakera's needs. She states that she is boss!
5. The One: 'Your the one I need, if you're close to me i'm holding on' Shakera sings. This song has a bit of rock mixed with a laid back melody. The message is that united you stand, divided you fall.
6. Ready For The Good Times: Very fun. Here, we feel Shakera's release of romantic tension. Quite cheeky, yet nice. 'ready2get it on'. Up-tempo and like track 3's sequal.
7. Fool: About rushing in. Quite sad that hurt can happen but a clever plan to mix in this sad, whiney 1.
8. Te Dejo Madrid: This track is not bad. It is Shakira's fill in as it is not as long as the other songs.
9. Poem To A Horse: A song that is get your own back . If a man is a lazy so and so, this is the song to sing! Shakira's comparisons are daring and 21st century.
10. Que Me Quedes Tu: My favourite Spanish song ever, sounds so free flowing and I do find myself joining in. Would love to be able to research into translation.
11. Eyes Like Yours: Arabic, fast and EXCELLENT!!! This song is a must to feel hyped up. I think of a desert love story or Indiana Jones.
12. Suerte. This is 'whenever, wherever' in Spanish. A lovely sound and we appreciate Shakira's bilingual quality.
13. Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango): Exactly as the english version, although sounds more official in Spanish.

Advantages: Too many to list, but that spanish/holiday feel, it brings is the main advantage! Disadvantages: None at all! Still listen to this 2 years later!
