Kerkenah, La Nuit des Yeux, Le Belvedere Assiege and Qaf, the 4 last tracks, are highly meditative. These tracks unravel like old parchment, dusty and mystifying. Melody trickles like water, gushing from all instruments. Lyrics will never be able to do anything like this. You get a 6 page booklet with Barzakh, written by Steve Lake. The front cover features a calligraphic fresque from Mohammed Abdul Kader. Great stuff. This is music from dreams. ...An interesting album of French music. The singer is from France and has been around for a long time. Some songs are better than others. I would recommend this album as an easy listening record. The song itself has a kind of powerful poetry structure; it has well-written rhyme and the metaphors were very strong. I never shame and will never embarrass to confess that I often cry every time I listen the song (no matter by Jacques or Nina).
