There are many "gems" to be found on Box Set 2 and it's musical diversity is a joy to listen to. On tracks such as "The Lemon Song" and "You Shook Me" the band's blues roots are on display and later, country influences are very much in evidence on "Hot Dog" and "Darlene", whilst tracks such as "Night Flight", "The Rover", "Four Sticks" and "How Many More Times" are rock masterpieces. The brooding precsence of "Carouselambra" is an often an overlooked masterpiece from the Zeppelin cannon. The packaging includes a booklet of rare photos and info. This is the second box set released of the Led Zeppelin back catalogue, having been remastered by Jimmy Page, and as such is basically the material that was omitted from the prior four cd box set. The first box set includes most of the band's best known material and as such for someone new to Led Zeppelin or anyone simply wishing to own a definitive part of their works, this would be, in my opinion the best place to start, but that said, if you want to complete the picture of one the greatest bands of all time then this really is an esential purchase and a great addition to any record collection.
