Led zeppelin sky rocketed into space after the enormous success of their mystical debut album, while led zeppelin 1 was a crazy mix of high fidelity and folk magic, the album was very divided in style. There were heavy rock ballads as a backdraw to hold the album up and to emphasise it's music genre, but in between these ballads was pure dazzling magic, laid back, soothing and peculiar tunes and melodies. The magic of Zeppelin has always been lingering in every song but in a cuple of melodies a certain magic is injected into the song by John Paul Jones's crazy, arcane meddling in the forces of medieval instruments such as organs and magical harpsichord like experimentation.

While zeppelin lingered around in the confused late 60's era, their debut was very mixed to suit the style at the time.Their debut album had the heavy rock balading stylings of the mid 70's but the album also had the mysterious, slightly psychadelic edge and purely added the magic into the band's music.

Many people fit Led Zeppelin into 2 genres,in the early 70's their heavy rock balads and crashing drums, and the other as the folk, beuticians which mysterious acoustic scores and relaxed vocals made up their mist famous album Led Zeppelin IV.Led Zeppelin are so mysteriously inconsistent it's impossible to fit their music into any genre, the genre is Led Zeppelin!!!

For those who do not know Led zeppelin formed around the late 60's under the shadow of the stones and the beatles,Jimmy Page from the Yardbirds formed the band under the name of a quote from a reporter 'the band's success would fall like a lead balloon'.The band features Jimmy Page on guitar.Robert Plant on vocals,John Paul Jones on bass +organs and the infamous John Bonham on the drums.

Led Zeppelin were the most perfect band in music history because they each member of the band was the best in his field.Jimmy Page is the greatest brittsih guitarist,John bonham is the world's best drummer,Robert Plant is the magical vocalist spitting energy into every song and of course John Paul Jones who was the one of the best bassisits and the greatest experimentalist at the time, magical organs, harmonicha's and weird sound effects sprinkle magical dust on each song.

Led zeppelin 2 was again produced by Jimmy Page,it contains the usual 9 song line up of magic and mystique. Many regard this as Zeppelins greatest and the reasons are obvious. The infamous old Top of the Pops theme tune was the first track on this album, the greatest drumming work in the history of music is on here 'Moby Dick',the album consists of heavy rock balads, amazing light harmonica/bass lines, magical guitar solos, and blues like guitar riffs make up a collection of magic!!!

The opening track Whole lotta love is one of Zeppelins most famous tracks, the old Top of the Pops theme tune. The song is carried by a crazy chord strumming melody of slightly distorted guitars, which ride on top of Bonhams amazing drum beats. The song blows away into a mist of hanting sound effects of bongo beats, you feel as if you are walking alon in a precarious jungle. Then out of the mist comes the drumming/guitar slides of the centuary, the mist is clearing and the light becomes brighter as Page's guitar solos intensify, the song explodes back in time to the intro which fades away gradually, the mist returns yet the magic lingers!!

What is and what should never be is not only a very philosophical comment it is the name o this masterpiece of modern dementia. This song is relaxed and soothing,Jones's lazy bass solo's set the mood coupled with Plant's deep, exciting vocals, the riff explodes and rises steadily in tempo brimmming with energy and powere. The song melows into a brilliant Page guitar solo,Plant's voice gets distorted in patches to add a unique peculiar yet haunting mood to this song, the song rests at a Pete Townsand like guitar welding, the pinball wizard returns!!

The lemon song rocks with it's fuzzy guitars and complex guitar solos riding on top of mellow bass solos and simplistic energetic drumming, there are many magical guitar solos blended into this song, the solos are so ridiculously artistic and fast yet magical and possesive it sounds reminiscent of that of Peter Green's 'Shake your money maker'.Moaning, melow blueslike vocals come streaming into this song intertwined with amazing bass lines which lay down a soothing relaxed mood, the lingering guitar bending literally explodes like a LEMON releasing very strong corrosive citric acid everywhere!!

Thank you is my favourite song on the album it cotains that mystical magic of Jones the organs dripp and flow all over this song binding it in a magical blanket of brilliance, mixed in with intertwined vocals rising up as if on a mission to climb a mountain, the constant magic of the organs with the steel string acoustics set a restless yet soothing mood. The guitars flow with the organs these 2 flowing rivers meet and converge into a wide gushing river flowing through an enchanted forest. This song is sob sooo beutiful it experiments with the listeners imagination,i feel as if i am floating on a river riding on streaming organs and mellow acoustics!!

Heartbreaker is a simple bluesish guitar riff which explodes into chords, deep bass solos like a harmonic generator shake this song up with crashing guitars. The guitars rise up and down as if riding on a rollercoaster. The chords flow into guitar solos which intensify with Plant's vocals and reach a climax of wizerdry, out of the darkness comes a incredibly complex guitar solo which intensifies further into a rythmic mix of guitar soloing thumping drums, whining guitars flow back into Plant's slightly faded crying vocals, there is a certain feel in Plant's vocals as if he were in pain or literally heartbroken!!

Living loving maid is literally a mental, crazy and speedy song. The song never slows in tempo and is carried all the way through by Bonham's drumming, the song is incredibly short just over 2 mins but the energy and raw power of this song is continous throughout.

Ramble on is my second fave track on this magical album, starting with a relaxed bass line and acoustic strumming.Plant's vocals coupled by streaming guitar melodies explode into the intensifying chorus, featuring crashing drums and mind blowing guitar sliding which drift away into gasp a magcical, bright guitar solo as if it were whining out with pain it's seems so meaningful and attentive, the song re-explodes into the chorus 'I gotta find the queen of all my dreams' are just a sample of the amazing poetics used in this song, the poetics include parts of lotr such as Mordor and Golem, the song ends in a whining plea by Plant sob beutiful!!

Moby Dick ahhhhhhhhhhh yes moby dick the greatest ever drum song in history,if you are'nt looking for the drum work in this song you will miss it's magic do not blink, enthrawling Page riffs blow the song into the sky untill gasp the most tremendous sounds of beating come into focus, forget the piper at the gates of dawn instead say hello to the drummer, this song should be re- named 'THE DRUMMER AT THE GATES OF DAWN',i confess ever since i first listened to this song i have not been able to stop air drumming it's posesive brilliant drum beats which flow and thump all opver the place, engenious use of crashing symbols and twinning of snares and bass drums and rolling drum beats leave one wondering if he had died and gone to heaven!!

The albums conclusion 'Bring it on home' features beutiful harminochas and in my opinion Jones's best bass playing, rolling away in the background is the streaming blues bass line, glitteringly soft Plant vocals intensify into an ominous guitar solo of fuzziness, this fuzzy guitar work was featured on 'No qaurter' and sounds remarkably unique, the crazy arcane guitaring fades away into the mist and the songs harmonicha, bass lines and blues vocals come back, return and fade nicely into a riff ending with all the stylings of a wizard!!!
